Developed by our Postdoctoral Scholar, Dr. Honey Walrond, the Center for Research on Expanding Educational Opportunity (CREEO) National Board research presents the C.A.R.E. Framework (Culturally Responsive, Accomplished Teaching, Reflective Educators, and Equity-Centered Practice). The C.A.R.E. framework offers a justice-driven model for teacher growth and professional learning. Grounded in the real experiences of candidates and facilitators from our National Board Resource Center Candidate Support Program (NBRC CSP), the framework illustrates how reflective, equity-centered, and culturally responsive practices can strengthen accomplished teaching and transform classrooms into spaces where all students thrive. C.A.R.E. also provides facilitators with tools to guide collaborative, inquiry-based instructional leadership for professional learning. Read the complete publication to explore how The C.A.R.E. Framework connects excellence with equity in educator development.
