Why teachers and students stay home: A mixed-method analysis of teacher and student absenteeism across nine schools in Guyana.

This study investigates absenteeism among teachers and students in nine Guyanese schools, identifying organizational and external factors as key influences. Teacher absences are often tied to working conditions and administrative support, while students are affected by family responsibilities and socio-economic challenges. These findings aim to inform targeted policies for reducing absenteeism.
