Wei Chen is an experienced English Language Development (ELD) and English as a Second Language (ESL) educator with over ten years of teaching experience in both China and the United States. He currently teaches at Rancho San Juan High School in Salinas, California, where he helps English Learners build language proficiency, academic confidence, and cultural understanding.
Wei began his teaching career in China and has taught English and Mandarin in diverse educational settings. Before joining Rancho San Juan High School, he also gained valuable classroom experience in the San Juan and Twin Rivers Unified School Districts in California.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Education from China West Normal University and is completing his Master’s in English Language Learning (Pre-K–12) at Western Governors University. A native Mandarin speaker fluent in English, Wei is passionate about creating inclusive and culturally responsive learning environments that empower students to succeed.
