The Center for Research on Expanding Educational Opportunity (CREEO) at UC Berkeley’s School of Education, led by Dr. Travis J. Bristol, advances rigorous, equity-centered research on teaching, learning, and schooling. CREEO examines critical gaps in knowledge related to educator ethnoracial diversity and educational equity, synthesizing prior research to clarify what we know, what we’ve learned, and what questions remain. Through this work, the Center helps guide researchers, practitioners, and policymakers in selecting methodologies, designing meaningful investigations, and shaping future research agendas. Grounded in collaboration with a broad and diverse community of scholars and practitioners, CREEO anchors the field in research that advances educational opportunity for the nation’s children and schools.
