Carolyn Yu is a junior at UC Berkeley, majoring in Media Studies with a minor in Journalism. She serves as a website and communications assistant at CREEO, where she leverages her skills in multimedia journalism to enhance the center’s visibility and communication strategies. Her role at CREEO involves managing and producing the center's digital content across various platforms, enhancing user engagement through web and social media communications, and designing promotional materials that highlight the center's initiatives, events, and spotlighted individuals.
Prior to joining CREEO, Carolyn was a deputy editor and social media producer for The Daily Californian, where she covered a variety of stories ranging from the impact of local education policies to the impact of national administration policies. Her experience qualifies her to scrutinize and narrate complex issues in a manner that is accessible and engaging to a broad audience. Beyond her journalistic pursuits, Carolyn is an avid film and creative media enthusiast through her membership in the Cinematic Arts and Production Club at UC Berkeley. Carolyn is passionate about making film and media accessible to all, expanding their potential as powerful educational tools.
